1898 House - clean up

Here are a few more of the items we found at the 1898 House after 2 return visits:

A Bitterroot Creamery 1 qt milk token and an aluminum toy coin

A couple of toy cars..  pretty cool!

Also pretty cool were these plastic toy Indian and army man:

All in all a great place to hunt!  The home owner was a really nice guy who came and talked to us several times about the history of the area.

1898 House

1898 house is a house I got permission to hunt at south of Stevensville MT.  A lot of junk but we found 9 pennies and 2 dimes.. all modern but all between '60 and '65.  We also found a couple of old marbles, some kids little action toys and a (most likely) 00 buckshot ball. We will be going back Saturday morning to hunt some more. It got dark before we finished.

Back yard Treasures

Tanner and I search the back yard tonight... nothing much but a bunch of modern coins.. was fun though.

No idea what the ReVolt tag is...

The best find probably was the spinning .22 plinker target..  About an inch deep and working condition.

Victor Park

After coffee at Florence Coffee Co.  Laura and I went to the Park in Victor MT:

Saturday night at home

I was bored on Saturday night so I decided to do a little hunting in the yard..  Right off the bat I found 2 modern dimes and then a big hit in my front yard right by the door..  Check this out!!

That big token is a Dunes Casino one dollar token from Las Vegas..  When I saw it I about freaked out because I thought it was a silver dollar.  Still pretty cool.

This is what it is looks like new:

w00t! Permissions!

I called the County Sheriff Department and asked about permission to dig in City Parks around the county. They told me they have absolute no issue with it as long as I clean up after myself and fill my holes and remove all garbage I find.  Anything of significant historical value also has to be turned in.  Stevensville City Hall told me exactly the same thing.  Nice old parks to explore now!!

Sunday in the Park

Sunday morning.  Laura and I went for coffee this morning, (as we do every morning.. Florence Coffee 5 Stars ((Thanks Libbi!)) After getting our drinks we went over to Lewis and Clark Park in Stevi on a whim..  Laura sipping her coffee and me wandering around in the park by the pool (circa 1951?) 2 steps inside the gate I get a solid target and bam! a penny (Stink'n Lincoln) Much to my dismay, even though I got a ton of hits..  most were either foil or the aluminum tie wires off the chain link fence.  I think kids must peel those wires off the fence and discard them in the lawn after fiddling with them for a bit.  Laura was afraid that my detecting in the city park was a lifetime prison offence, so we left..

Ring beep!

I learned a very important lesson today. I am left handed so I use my left hand to operate my ProPointer.  Guess what else is on my left hand.
